Graeme Simpson – Solicitor and Director

Michelle Gibson – Finance & Office Manager

Michelle has been a valued part of the Simpsons team for over 23 years. Starting out in accounts, she later expanded her role to include office management. Behind the scenes, Michelle ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the business, keeping everything on track with her experience and dedication.

Geoff Smith – Practice Manager & Director

Ricco Rixon –
Employment Department

Ricco was called to the Bar in 2002 and has worked exclusively in employment law since then. He has extensive experience in advocating cases in Tribunal and has appeared in the Employment Appeal Tribunal on more than one occasion. He has dealt with a very wide range of employment cases. He has worked for Simpsons since 2016.

Tom Bradley – Solicitor - Occupational Illness/Disease Department

Tom joined Simpsons in 2011 and initially worked on accident related cases, before then joining the Occupational Illness/Disease Department.


Tom works on claims involving a variety different work-related illnesses including asbestos-related conditions, respiratory illnesses, vibration-related injuries, dermatitis type injuries etc.

Karen Kennedy – Solicitor - Medical Negligence Department

Karen joined Simpsons in September 2019 and brought with her a wealth of experience acquired during an extensive career in claimant Personal Injury and Medical Negligence. Karen represents claimants who have suffered a whole range of different types of injury as a result of avoidable mistakes made by healthcare professionals. She strives to ensure that her clients receive the maximum compensation for injuries they have sustained through no fault of their own.

Catherine Axton – Solicitor - Serious Injury Department

Catherine Axton is a highly skilled and experienced Associate Solicitor at Simpsons. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of serious injury, including those arising
from clinical negligence for both adults and children.

Karen Bilsborrow – Legal Executive (F.CiLex)

Karen joined the firm in 2003 as a legal secretary.  She qualified as a legal executive through CILEx in 2009.  She deals with portal matters including accidents at work, occupiers liability and road traffic accident claims

Paul Kwartnik – Fast Track Department

Paul has worked in law since 1999 and has specialised in Personal Injury work since 2001. He joined Simpsons Solicitors in 2007 and has been involved in a variety of accident claims over the years such as accidents at work, in shops, accidents in public places, highway claims and construction claims to name a few. Paul has a pragmatic and progressive view when it comes to running his cases.

Rebecca Bull – Solicitor

Rebecca works in the Employment Department and undertakes litigation on behalf of clients ranging from unfair dismissals, to whistleblowing to trade union claims. Rebecca specialises in equal pay and has a particular interest in discrimination claims.

Joe Dickinson – Legal Executive
(F.CiLEx)

Joe is a Fellow Legal Executive and has worked at Simpsons Solicitors since 2011. Joe specialises in Industrial Disease claims such as Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Dermatitis, Repetitive Strain injuries and more.

Sarah Doyle – Solicitor

Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in 2000. She joined Simpsons in 2010 dealing with all aspects of Road Traffic accident claims, and accidents at work claims. For the past 11 years Sarah has focused on developing a specialism for maximising where possible the value of accident at work claims dealing with Intermediate and Multi track claims to achieve the best possible results for each and every claimant.

Amy McDermott - Solicitor

Amy joined the firm in 2019 as a trainee solicitor. She qualified as a solicitor in 2022 and now works in our employment
department. She handles a wide variety of employment tribunal matters, from unlawful deductions from wages to discrimination claims. She also advises individuals on settlement agreements that they have received from their employer.

Paul Grendon - Solicitor

Paul is a Solicitor in the Employment Department and joined Simpsons Solicitors in November 2023. He qualified in 1996
and has specialised in employment law since then.

Graeme Roberts - Trainee Solicitor

Graeme joined Simpsons in 2014 and has over 20 years’ experience in handling all aspects of personal injury claims including Clinical Negligence, Road Traffic Accident, Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims of both low and high value.

Emma Atkinson – Paralegal

Emma started at Simpsons in 2022 and
works across both the clinical negligence and industrial disease departments. She is also currently studying towards the SQE.

Katharine Bolderson – Legal
Administrator

Katharine started with the firm in 2010. Having previously worked within the Employment and PI departments she now
assists Karen Kennedy with Clinical Negligence cases.

Gemma Hughes – Paralegal

Gemma has been employed as a paralegal in the employment department since February 2023. Gemma also runs her own cases dealing with Unlawful Deduction of Wages, Holiday Pay, and Protective Award Claims. Gemma is currently undertaking the Solicitor Qualifying Examination apprenticeship and expects to qualify as a Solicitor in 2026.

Charley Wright - Paralegal

Charley joined the firm in 2016 as an administrative assistant. During her time at Simpsons Solicitors, she completed her paralegal apprenticeship and now works within the serious
injuries team.

Alice Parkinson – Paralegal

Alice started at Simpsons in 2025 and
works with Sarah Doyle on Multi-track claims
